Benny Rogosnitzky is an acclaimed cantor serving the notable Park East Synagogue in Manhattan, New York, where he lectures on cantorial music and its application to prayer. As a distinguished cantor, Benny has taught many of today’s most well-known cantors.
Benny exhibited an interest in music and liturgy from a young age. He joined Johnny Gluck’s choir as a child soloist when he was nine years old. When he was sixteen, he led the High Holiday Services at the prestigious Brighton and Hove Synagogue in England. Meanwhile, Benny continued his Jewish Studies at the Manchester Yeshiva and pursued his higher education at the Royal Manchester School of Music and Art.
Today, Benny shares his knowledge and experience through teaching courses on traditional and modern liturgy and music. He was a guest lecturer at the Yale Conservatory of Music in the United States, and has produced a multitude of concerts with performances in New York, London, Warsaw, Tel Aviv and South Africa.
In addition to his role as cantor, Benny dedicates his time to improving the lives of others. He is actively involved in many community projects and charitable organizations. Benny Rogosnitzky helped found Frum Divorce, a community organization that provides frum divorce families with the support they need to overcome the panic, trauma and loss of security associated with divorce. Through support groups, community lectures and popular events, Frum Divorce helps divorcees and their children cope with divorce and build a brighter future.
